We have adjusted to life here in Astana rather quickly, which has been a blessing. The children are thriving, learning, and growing. Olivia can tie her shoes all by herself and has lost her first two teeth. Noah is 100% toilet trained (Day/Night, at home/out and about, with Mom and Dad/Babysitter). It is remarkable to see how quickly they are growing.
We find our home comfortable and a haven of peace. It brings us joy to be here together, and it brings memories of our family and friends. As you look around, you will realize that it is because of YOU and your gifts to us that have help make this apartment our HOME. Thank you.
As the season warms we are able to see a new beauty of the city, and enjoy the many outside entertainment options (you have already seen the indoor playground). There is a fantastic play area outside that has 2 parks, a basketball court (this will be a later blog), a walking track, and some "exercise equipment".
Across the street from Highvill is a "green space" with walking trails and tributaries to the river. In the park are interesting "Stonehenge" like sculptures which adds destination to our adventures.
There are two corner markets in Highvill for the daily runs of yummy fresh bread and fruit. It feels like as soon as we walk into the shop the kids are given lollipops. I do not know if it because they are red heads, or because it is just so cute to hear them say "спасибо" (thank you).
(The lollipops and Olivia loosing teeth are unrelated incidents). :)
We are happy and blessed, and are filled with thankful hearts this Easter season.
Always glad to see the pics and hear about things. Love you Beckie
