Some of my fondest memories of childhood revolve around my cousins. Ice-cream, swimming pools, and laughter have followed me into adulthood, and the bond which was formed in my youth is strong. It was one of my greatest joys to meet again with my cousins as adults and witness who they have become. Men and Women who are successful in the world, but more especially as families.
Our journey back to America included a couple of weeks in southern Utah for a family reunion with Brett's family. Olivia and Noah were able to immerse themselves in the friendships of cousins, and I was able to watch these special ties, which I experienced as a child, being formed for my children.

I wish we were still in the same state, but reading your blog lets me feel close to you and I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for your friendship and your example.

Sniff. This makes me cry! You guys are too far away. We really are happy for your adventure, but I love this post as it reflects my feelings about our family get togethers and our kids relationships. Miss you guys so much!!
