Friday's Child

"FRIDAY'S CHILD IS LOVING AND GIVING."

My Noah boy was born on a Friday, after a 3 day on and off labor. Brett and I were exhausted both mentally and physically. When he finally came we were so relieved that we did not even realize that music was playing. We had to count back the minutes to figure out what song he was born to! Noah arrived to Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. When the nurse took him over to the scale she weighed him twice because she could not believe it. 10 pounds of Noah to love.

Noah has been blessed with a joyful spirit. When he was a baby my friend Kristie commented on it saying, "all baby's have a gift or purpose, and Noah's is to make people happy." He has a quick and genuine smile that makes his chocolate eyes become half moons. He has a contagious laugh which he uses frequently and gives freely. He is hilariously funny, and helps keep Olivia and I chill. :)

Noah is painfully honest. Once we asked him if he was cute. His response? "No, I'm gorgeous." See, honesty. Other times we will ask if he is doing what we needed him to do, and "no" with a grin is the answer we get. Perhaps I should say he is honest and mischievous? He recently asked "how could Adam be a prophet if he was naked?" I don't remember how exactly I responded, probably because I was too busy laughing.

Noah has a colorful imagination. He becomes fully immersed in his playing. If you are invited to play with him, you have approximately one minute to engage him otherwise you are deemed too boring (he never states this, it is just assumed as your "guys" are confiscated and he resumes playing by himself). While he is very much a boy with his superheroes, he is not one to turn away a tea party, or a good game of ponies.

Noah has a love of music. He expresses this through song and dance. He is often found singing, whether a song from church or home, or even one he made up. My personal favorite of his self composed pieces is "cool kid" (about himself-- don't you remember having that self esteem?). He also loves to dance. When he was younger we used to make him dance for his supper because it was just so cute. He was the kid that with construction thumping he would start gyrating. His favorite musical is currently "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." He can sing most of it.

Noah is strong. Physically and Spiritually. He has a wonderful, pure and simple understanding of truth. He enjoys expressing his belief in Jesus Christ. He is kind and loving to his family. He gives generous hugs and kisses  and will say "all we need is our family."
